Privacy Policy
True Cost of a Dog ("we") keeps data collection to a minimum. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs stay in your browser. Breed, age, and location selections you enter in our calculator are processed locally on your device and are never sent to our servers.
- Basic analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited, in aggregate. This does not identify you personally.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message so we can reply.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies for basic site functionality. If we display third-party ads (e.g., Google AdSense), those vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. Clicking them may send you to a partner site with a referral identifier so we can earn a commission. See our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or opt out of analytics by contacting us via the contact page.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
